Q: How do I know what size dumpster I need?
A: Dumpster sizes are measured in cubic yards of capacity. One cubic yard is 3 feet long by 3 feet wide by 3 feet high. To help you judge, a standard pickup truck bed loaded level to the height of the sidewalls holds approximately 2 cubic yards of material. Q: Why are prices not listed for the different size dumpsters?
A: Although we do have standard rates for our dumpsters, there are factors that can change the rate. We feel that it is better for you to call our Dumpster Consultant and allow us to quote the best rate possible for your project.
Q: Why is a credit card required if I am paying by check or cash?
A: A credit card is required even if you are paying with cash or check to cover any additional fees such as overweight charges, trip fees if we are unable to pick-up the bin when scheduled, additional days out and fines for disallowed items.
Q: What can I put in the dumpster?
A: The list of what can't be put in the dumpster is much shorter,
No automobile, mower, or tractor tires and batteries,
No liquids or chemicals including paint,
No hazardous waste,
No concrete, rock, brick or dirt unless specified at time of rental
Q: How much weight can we put in the dumpster?
A: The weight limit included in our pricing is 3 tons. Any bin over 3 tons may be subject to an overweight charge. Our maximum safe lift capacity is 4 tons. Overweight bins that we can't lift or are deemed unsafe to transport will be subject to additional fees and must be unloaded by the customer.
Q: How long can we keep the dumpster?
A: This is one of the questions that affects the rate! We strive to work with every customer to ensure they have ample time to complete their project. Again, coordinate with our Dumpster Consultant on the length of your dumpster rental.
Q: Does someone have to be on site for delivery and pick-up?
A: Our Dumpster Delivery Experts always love to show our customers how to use the walk-in doors upon delivery and thanking you for your business upon pick up but you do not need to be present for delivery or pick up.
Q: Where can the bin be placed?
A: We prefer to place the bin on a flat level surface such as a driveway or parking pad. You should check with your local public works or codes department or HOA to see if any restrictions or fees are applicable to placement of the bin. You are responsible for any fees or permits required.
Q: Can we load the bin above the height of the sidewalls?
A: For us to be able to tarp and transport the bin safely and legally we ask that you maintain a flat level load that does not go above the sidewalls. Also weight should be evenly distributed from side to side and front to back.
